Belfry Coarse Fishery

Belfry Fishery is located on a quiet rural farm just off of the A22 near Hailsham. The fishery consists of a single fishable lake which is about one acre in size. The lake contains roach and rudd to 2lb, tench to 3lb, crucian carp, some large perch to 4lb+ and some beautiful carp upto 25lb+. There are two lakes. Belfry Pond is located on the edge of the first field.

The fishery owner says recommended baits are natural baits or luncheon meat.
Tiger nuts aren't allowed.
All rubbish must be taken home.
There are 2 portaloos on site.

We had a great day, we had success landing carp by free lining bread on the surface, along with Tiger Nut flavoured boilies on the bottom. The owner mentioned that Mussels are currently working well. Parking is right next to the lake and there is a portable toilet next to the large lake.
Many thanks to the fishery owners.

Directions

Address: Hellingly, Hailsham, BN27 4BP

Take the A22 to just north west of Hailsham until you reach the Boship roundabout between Lower Dicker and Horsebridge. The Boship roundabout is a large roundabout that has services including Burger King, petrol station, travel lodge, tourist information. Take the exit towards Horam, this exit will lead you past the services entrance. Follow the road for about quarter of a mile. The entrance to Belfry fishery is on the left hand side through a gate in the hedge. The gate has a white board saying Belfry Fishery.

The entrance is opposite a large services signpost (which you will only see the back of when travelling from the Boship roundabout).

If you pass this sign you have just passed the entrance, if you reach a right hand turning for Horsebridge then you have gone to far.
